Scot JCB have an opportunity for a Credit Controller to join our finance team in Glasgow.

Working as part of a busy team, you will play a key role in managing our debtors across a network of 17 depots.

We are looking for a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong communication and negotiation skills.

You will have experience working in credit control or related accounts experience.

Hours:
Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 5pm, based at our Glasgow office

Salary:
Between 20k-23k, dependant on experience

This role involves:

Investigating disputed items and ensuring these are followed up by the relevant department
Maintaining records of unresolved disputes and highlighting these to senior management
Managing problem accounts through targeted use of credit limits, suspension of credit, and liaison with external agencies
Collating cash and cheques for banking and posting all receipts on the computer system
Ensuring the accuracy of the computer system by reconciling accounts, recording activities and follow up actions
Updating customer details and opening new accounts
Other duties within the accounts team such as answering phone calls, processing incoming and outgoing mail etc
Providing a professional service to both customers and employees
Experience of working in credit control or a related accounts department
Experience of working in a busy office environment
Excellent attention to detail and time management
Ability to work to strict deadlines
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Analysis of information to support decision making
Keen to achieve results
Proven accounting and reporting experience
Good team spirit, able to work well with colleagues at all levels in the business
