NBCUniversal International Studios is a division of Universal Studio Group, delivering award-winning content to millions across the globe. Based in London, the business' in-house production labels include Carnival Films, Monkey, Australian-based Matchbox Pictures and Working Title Television.

NBCUniversal International Studios also operates a joint production venture with Heyday Television and owns an equity stake in Lark Productions in Canada.

Additionally, the studio houses a UK and LA- based scripted unit that develops and produces original series.


Job Description:

Processes/studioforce
-
Tracking/managing Studioforce deadlines: includes running 30 & 90 day deadline reports / following up with the BA execs to ensure that deadlines are renewed
-
Adding new details to studioforce; including new deals into Studioforce, as well as other details - pasting summaries and adding dropdown info
-
Supporting the Studioforce Process: including (i) ensuring that BA execs follow our Studioforce/Excel tracker process / checking that Studioforce entries and Excel entries have been entered correctly - following up where required and (ii) Training of others on studioforce; including BA execs/others and (iii) drafting various documents to summarise the process

Reports: Providing Studioforce reports where needed on active deals in negotiation and other reports as may be required from time to time

Regular meetings with US co-ordinators / Business Affairs Admin to ensure smooth running of the processes, and training them in Studioforce, checking their work and updating them on changes to our processes.

Weekly excel tracker/reporting: Sending the Excel tracker weekly to the distrib list, ensuring it is updated on time

Updating agenda for weekly scripted get together meeting with upcoming deadlines and new DRMs

Liaising with co-ordinators/paralegals at the Labels to ensure uniformity in our processes and training them where needed

Other:


  • Tracking down historic agreements
  • Taking meeting notes where required and circulating these
  • Submitting invoices to finance and following up to ensure timely payment
  • List of exceptionals for productions
  • Helping with WGA reporting where needed and coordinating responses to the WGA with the Business Affairs Admin team (Beverly Brewster)
  • Arranging/chasing contract signatures and then circulating the agreements
  • Putting together a list of updates/improvements for Studioforce, e.g. automated option reminders, changes to dropdown boxes etc
  • Regular process and IT meetings
  • Ensuring we have all signed paperwork saved on Sharepoint
  • Abstracts: assistance with preparation of abstracts where asked
Contracts

  • Option extension notices
  • Side letters / Amendment agreements
  • Contributor agreements
  • Turnaround letters
  • PPA / Exec summaries
  • Chain of title enquiries / calls

Qualifications:


  • Legal qualification
  • Law degree or equivalent
  • Paralegal experience
