With a base in 5 European countries and a growing presence in mainland Europe we are looking for an experienced Group Financial Controller play a major role in our team.

This is a key role within the finance department and the incoming individual must be able to demonstrate high levels of commercial and technical capability and be the right fit in terms of chemistry, character and outlook.

The right individual will be a qualified accountant with more than 5 years PQE and have worked in a similar role previously.

Ideally, systems experience will include Netsuite and use of consolidation tools such as Tagetik.

Key Responsibilities:

- oversee the finance function and ensure that records are appropriately kept and comply with accounting standards and legislation. preparing monthly statements and other regular financial reports. coordinating and managing the preparation of budget and financial forecasts. managing all day-to-day accounting operations. managing payroll processing in conjunction with HR. managing statutory reporting of HMRC submissions (e.g. VAT and PAYE returns). ensuring finance team operates within a robust control environment. supervising and managing the finance team. developing internal control policies and procedures in the company. contributing to ensuring all financial systems are fit for purpose, are maintained, and identifying potential areas for improvement. streamlining and improving all operations and accounting systems. coordinating the management of cash flow, debt and debt collection. overseeing the audit process and liaising with external personnel where required. working alongside other senior leadership team members to create risk minimisation plans. supporting the business with the financial strategy and decision-making processes.


Skills Required:

- demonstrable analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills and must be able to work to tight deadlines. strong personal and communication skills alongside confident leadership and management skills. strong business acumen, and the ability to influence people at all levels.
