Key Responsibility

  • Programming, setting and operating various CNC machines such as but not limited to: Routers, Waterjet, Laser, Presses.
  • Understand and interpret technical drawings and CAD files.
  • Working to a technical drawing/production pack
  • Communicating effectively with the Programming department regarding any issues or improvements.
  • Managing tooling; ensuring all tooling is maintained and organised.
  • Maintaining clean and safe working environment.
  • Collaborating with line management and engineering support in any initiative to continuously improve the performance of the shop floor.
  • Collaborating with other team members to plan and work to timescales.
  • Independently working and project management

Key Knowledge areas

  • Knowledge of CNC machines such as 3 axis Routers, Waterjets, Laser, Presses.
  • Previous experience with above listed responsibilities is preferable
  • Training will be given on more specific machines/programming/software.
  • General computer skills for example to access drawings or CAD files
  • Use of CAD software; 2D and 3D
  • Preferred but training will be given.


  • Foam manufacturing

  • Preferable but not essential

Job Types:

£12.00-£15.00 per hour
