Founded in 1986, CML is a long established and highly successful civil engineering contractor specialising in railway engineering.
We are a primary contractor for Network Rail delivering a diverse range of projects from earthworks and embankment stabilisation schemes to major structural projects such as footbridge replacements and bridge refurbishments.
Our head office is based in Leeds but we have offices in Ferryhill, York, Sheffield, Wigan, Glastonbury and Colchester and we operate nationwide.
Role & Responsibilities
An exciting, hands-on opportunity for a conscientious Apprentice Business Administrator who will support different parts of the organisation and interact professionally with internal and external customers to get the job done.
This is a foot through the door for anyone starting their career journey and one in which you will gain exposure to all areas of business administration and be fully supported to develop and progress.
This is a varied, fast-paced role requiring an enthusiastic, customer focused individual with an interest in forging a career in Business Administration.
The role supports all CML's key business functions and will provide the successful applicant with exposure to all elements of corporate administration.
- Liaising with Project teams, providing support when necessary, including managing related files and folders.
- Word processing, filing, scanning and other adhoc duties
- Meeting & diary management including taking minutes of meetings
- Reception / telephone duties
- Clerical support for Site Managers / Works Delivery Managers / Operatives etc.
- Purchasing stationery and office catering supplies.
As an Apprentice, we will support you to gain skills, experience and confidence whilst you work towards a Level 3 in Advanced Business Administration.
Skills & Experience Required
- Willing to complete an 18month Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship
- Ambitious with the desire to progress within CML.
- A team player with a flexible, positive, 'can do' attitude.
- Customer focused with a professional telephone manner.
- Enthusiastic and selfmotivated with a desire to learn about all areas of business administration.
- A highly organised, multitasker with strong attention to detail.
- Strong PC skills (MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
Qualifications Required
- Minimum GCSE
- Maths & English grade 4 or above
- A-Levels (desirable)
