Job Purpose - The Support Group Practitioner is responsible for coordinating and running a programme of activities throughout the week for our Mind Time Programme. All sessions are based on the 5 Ways to Wellbeing and are held within different community settings. The Support Group Practitioner will also provide 121 support through wellbeing appointments for people accessing Mind Time only, and will work closely alongside other practitioners and peer support workers who support people to engage with the Mind Time sessions. _(for Job Description, please visit )_

Essentials:


  • Experience of working within a mental health service
  • Experience of running groups
  • An understanding of a range of skills, preventions, interventions and management linked to wellbeing and personcentred support
  • A sound understanding and knowledge of recovery principles and the role of mental health services across Swindon.
  • GCSE/O Levels education (94/A*C) in Maths & English (or equivalent numeracy and literacy).
  • Degree or Diploma in an appropriate health and social care field, i.e. psychology _Desirable._
  • An accredited qualification with the appropriate professional body (i.e. Health and Care Professions Council, Nursing & Midwifery Council, Charted Management Institute etc.)
  • Desirable
