We are currently recruiting for aSkilled Operative to join our passionate and driven team based at our client's site in Oldham.

Key Responsibilities:


  • To complete any reasonable task set by the Aktrion Duty Shift Team Leader, Aktrion publishing overseer, Aktrion Management and RPS Oldham Management.
  • To be able to competently operate onsite Post press equipment stackers, strappers, under wrap, pkt line, start up all lines, overflow and any further equipment as when required, training permitted.
  • To complete daily housekeeping duties.
  • To conduct any maintenance/cleaning task required as and when asked.
  • Ensuring all appropriate reporting and data are shared.
  • Communicate well with all team members and Aktrion management.
  • To promote new ideas for operational improvements.
  • Complete all production duties and tasks that are required of Aktrion staff.
  • Ensure that all Preshift checks are completed and documentation is filled out.
  • Ensure that you are being utilised in the most productive manner.
  • Liaise constantly with your Aktrion Duty Shift Team Leader to ensure that any deviations from the production schedule are reduced to a minimum.
  • Must have the ability and willingness to train other team members.
  • To set the highest working standards and have the right attitude.
  • Attend any training courses when required.
  • To meet all KPI's (key performance indicators).

Health & Safety:

  • Adhere to all relevant Health and Safety requirements i.e. Safety Wear, PPE (personal protective equipment) and Manual Handling Guidelines.
  • Adhere to all relevant COSSH information and assessments regarding chemicals and cleaning agents.
  • Report any damage and defects to the building and equipment.
  • Report any potential Health and Safety issues.

  • Communicate any equipment faults to the Aktrion Duty Shift supervisor.
  • Good operational, organisational, and delegation skills.
  • Promote and encourage team working between Aktrion and RPS Oldham staff.
  • FLT counterbalance licence.
  • Stocklin truck licence.
