Job Title Information & Engagement Officer - Female

Grade Salary Scale 4 - £23, 194 p.a. pro rata to £13, 916 (at 21 hours pw)


Responsible to Chief Officer


Role Purpose i) To provide the organisation's information and signposting function ii) To lead on the recording of all information & signposting as well as other feedback data. iii) To assist in the capture, analysis and general use of data received by the organisation. iv) To jointly lead on the organisation's engagement activities


Key Main Duties & Responsibilities

Accountabilities

1. Planning and development i) Assist in the formulation and delivery of Healthwatch Manchester's information & engagement plans. ii) Assist in the formulation and delivery of Healthwatch Manchester's annual marketing plans. iii) Identify own training and development needs.


2.

Information & signposting
i) To work alongside the Information & Communications Officer, Information & Engagement Officer (male) and Volunteer ) To provide the organisation's main information and signposting and engagement activity including:


  • Online and other digital
  • Outreach events
  • Information & signposting surgeries
iii) To attend meetings of the staff team, volunteers and board as required.

iv) To keep accurate and comprehensive records in order to regularly monitor and evaluate:

- the effectiveness of the information & signposting service
- the uptake of information by local people
- the outcome of referrals to other service providers


3. Use of data i) To implement the methods of data capture across the organisation including the CiviCRM and other systems ii) To assist in the use of information and data analysis in the organisation's reporting arrangements iii) To assist in the analysis of all information and use of data across the organisation. iv) To regularly review the organisation's arrangements for data capture and analysis and make recommendations to the team


4. Website & Digital i) To lead on the development and implementation of the Women's Health & Care Forum website and its associated activities ii) To monitor the outputs of social media and other digital distribution channels iii) To monitor the online presence of Healthwatch Manchester and support the evaluation of its effectiveness


5. Women's Health & Care Forum i)To lead on all activities associated with the Women's Health & Care Forum ii) To promote the Forum through all relevant distribution networks ii) To monitor the activities of the Forum and assist in evaluating its impact


6. Personnel development i) Attend regular support and supervision meetings and annual appraisal as required. ii) Keep up to date with policies and procedures and undertake appropriate training.


7. Reporting i) Assist in the production of reports including Enter & View ii) Provide written and/or oral reports on progress for the Chief Officer as required. iii) Report on information & signposting issues at staff meetings. iv) Contribute to Healthwatch Manchester's annual report.

9. Health & Safety i) To abide by the health and safety guidelines and share responsibility for own safety and that of colleagues. ii) To notify immediately the line manager of all issues that may detrimentally affect the health and safety of trustees, staff, volunteers, members, clients and any other visitors to Healthwatch
Manchester.


10. Other Duties i) In addition to the tasks and duties above, to undertake such other duties as may be identified and which are generally compatible with the functions of the post
