Accounts Assistant - Chelmsford, United Kingdom - Huntress
Description
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Opening new accounts & credit checking
- Processing & allocating customer payments
- Preparation & reviewing monthly accounts including prepayments, accruals, journals & closing the month in Sage
- Credit control
- Processing monthly payroll and submission to HMRC & pension provider
- Bank postings & reconciliations as well as regular customer/supplier account reconciliation
- Monitoring cashflow & reporting to the Director
- Quarterly VAT returns and assisting with the yearend accounts if required
- Order processing, collecting payments, sending invoices and statements, issues returns and credit notes
- Liaising with supplier, monitoring cost prices, ordering stock, allocating delivery notes and producing customs documentation when required
- Ensure company paperwork & certifications are up to date, including staff training
- Approve and monitor staff sickness & holiday as well as processing staff monthly expenses
