Community Housing is seeking to appoint a Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team.

This role is key to producing and supporting the effective delivery of reporting on the financial performance of Community Housing.

This can be achieved by successfully building relationships and clear lines of communication with internal stakeholders, budget holders and teams across the company.


You will be responsible for the production of monthly management accounts, assisting in production of the annual financial statements and support the external audit process, building trust in and continually improving the level of service in the Finance team's systems and processes.

You will also play an integral part of the budget and forecasting setting process, which includes formulation, performance review and control.


It is essential that the individual in this role can encourage a culture of flexibility and adaptability to ensure that all areas within the team are adequately resourced and supported to maintain a 'One Team' culture.


We are looking for a finance professional with or that has;

  • A relevant background in accountancy and experience of producing financial statements.
  • MAAT qualification or other recognized professional accounting body.
  • Qualified, part qualified ACCA / CIMA or equal experience would be desirable.
  • Housing Sector experience and knowledge of housing sector development.
  • Strong understanding of management and financial accounts with effective leadership including the ability to motivate, support and encourage colleagues.
  • Ability to clearly explain and present technical financial information to non
- experts.

  • IT literate to include computerised accounting packages, reporting tools and strong spreadsheet ability as well as excellent numeracy skills.
  • Experience with financial planning software or financial modelling in Excel appraising large capital investment and business development in the housing sector.
  • An awareness of risk issues, particularly financial risk.
