DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
4creative is the multi-awarded, highly creative, in-house agency for Channel 4. It forms part of the Marketing and Viewer Experience Division.

  • Within that, 4creative is responsible for developing and delivering all advertising campaigns and channel packaging for Channel 4 in every media. As such, 4creative plays a key role in projecting a coherent sense of the 4brand family.
    JOB PURPOSE


The role of the Senior Producer is to produce fully integrated Marketing campaigns across Social, On-Air & OOH for all Channel 4 brands.

The Senior Producer will be proficient in producing high level multi-media production including but not limited to TV, Social, Print, OOH.

The Senior Producers main priority is to work closely with the rest of the Production team to deliver the creative vision of the department.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Ability to work across different production and transmission requirements on all channels, platforms and for external clients when required.
  • Management of creative development, preproduction, production, postproduction of all shoots and delivery of promotional materials and onair identity on a day to day basis
  • Main point of contact and responsibility for each individual project from concept to delivery.
  • In partnership with the Executive Producer, build a team of Producers, Production Managers, and Production Assistants to manage and support delivery of all media streams across a campaign.
  • Track budgets, shoot logistics and deliveries across all areas of a campaign
  • Liaise and maintain communication with marketing, media planning and presentation departments for all projects
  • High level of communication with Creatives and Directors to produce inventive projects
  • Ensure rigorous effective budget management, reconciliation on all projects and the processing of invoices; whilst working within the 4C /C4 finance and department policy & guidelines
  • Proposal and management of crew including the Director for above shoots
  • Build relationships with external Production & Creative partners
  • Building a portfolio of; suppliers, freelancers, crew across all media to ensure C4 are working with the best talent and most diverse range possible. Creating a 4creative talent database. Managing and overseeing the contracting of suppliers and freelancers.
  • Working closely with EP's to scope out rough timelines and potential costs to supply to the Project Manager.
  • Generation of call sheets and risk assessments and booking of postproduction etc
  • Manage legal and compliance clearances for all projects ensuring OFCOM regulations are adhered to, as well as clearances when required for; music, clip and image licencing as well as liaise with Clearcast, RACC and BBFC for script and copy approvals.
  • Ensure legal contracts are completed e.g. for cast, crew, composers, photographers, freelancers, suppliers etc
  • Manage Health and Safety and Insurance requirements on all projects, in line with C4 policies
  • Management of assigned Director, production team, crew and talent throughout whole project

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Experience in a similar company with a working knowledge of multimedia Production
  • Be a creative, imaginative and innovative individual
  • Clear and effective communicator
  • Be able to work as part of a team and independently
  • Ability to cope under pressure and prioritise work loads
  • Be able to produce promotion concepts to a brief
  • Be able to liaise with Marketing, Commissioning, Presentation, creative departments and external clients
  • Knowledge of current film and digital formats and camera techniques. Up to date knowledge of regulatory bodies, health and safety and business/production insurance regulations
  • Knowledge of crew and talent union regulations
  • Understanding of current postproduction techniques and editing/gfx systems
  • Knowledge of supplier contracting and contract negotiations
  • Strong leadership skills
  • An interest and knowledge in current media and advertising
