Team Overview:


  • Manage regulatory interactions, including recurring liaison meetings and ad hoc information requests, to strengthen regulatory relations from an EMEA Independent Risk Management perspective;
  • Support the development of appropriate and comprehensive responses and remediation plans when regulatory issues and concerns are identified;
  • Work closely with partners in other EMEA Functions and Businesses, to ensure consistent, insightful, and clear communications to regulators;
  • Conduct Exam Readiness assessments to ensure the risk organisation is prepared for upcoming regulatory reviews; and
  • Ensure alignment and leverage operating model / best practices from the global Risk Regulatory Affairs team.

The EMEA Risk Regulatory Affairs team is part of the EMEA CRO Office Risk and Governance team with a matrix reporting line to the Global Risk Regulatory Affairs team.


Position Objective:


The objective of this role is to drive the execution of regulatory interactions across Risk Management within EMEA, to ensure the organisation is responsive, agile and well-prepared for unique and demanding regulatory requests.

The position requires significantproject management and stakeholder engagement to ensure that regulatory interactions are thoughtful, comprehensive and culminate in consistent messaging.

In addition, there is opportunity to provide senior management with themes that emerge from the feedbackreceived through these points of regulatory contact.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage regulatory exams that require significant coordination across risk teams, with a focus on ensuring regulatory expectations are addressed on a holistic and consistent basis.
  • Attend regulatory meetings to represent the organization on regulatory matters and record meeting summaries and followup actions.
  • Review and provide quality assurance of risk management deliverables submitted to regulators.
  • Synthesize regulatory feedback and key findings in reports provided to senior management, the region CRO and key stakeholders.
  • Assist in high priority regulatory ad hoc projects across their lifecycle by identifying and structuring problems, analyzing root causes, developing solutions, communicating project results, and obtaining buyin for change.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree with 610 years relevant experience
  • Awareness of general concepts/ principles of risk management with a background in credit risk preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively present in text or slide format
  • Excellent problem solving abilities and organizational / time management skills
  • Attention to detail and willingness to "roll up sleeves"
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Ability to network and interact with a broad range of risk teams and senior management
  • Intellectually curious and willing to invest time in researching areas outside current knowledge base/ skill set
  • Experienced in project management with excellent organizational, followup and time management skills
  • High proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
