Job summary
This post holder will report directly to the Assistant Operations Manager but will take day-to-day direction and instruction from the Site Supervisor and Site Manager. They will carry out a range of tasks in relation to HWRC operations. They must have good communications skills, the ability to deliver high levels of customer service and a desire to represent the council in a friendly and personable manner.Qualifications
- The post holder will be required to demonstrate the capability to gain relevant certificates of basic competence for the delivery of site operations including first aid and mechanical plant.
Responsibilities
- Following routine daily instructions. ,
- Meeting customers. ,
- Lifting heavy items into containers or carrying waste items up/down steps,
Assisting customers with depositing their waste,
Maximising separated re-use/recyclable waste,
Providing information about recycling , - Solving problems/ dealing with difficult situations/dealing with difficult customers.,Processing payments or charges
Conducting practical activities/site maintenance
Operating specialist compaction equipment Assisting shop staff/support general administrative duties ,
