Head of Brand and External Engagement


This senior management role leads organisation's brand and positioning strategy, ensuring that the organisation's stories and external communications are joined up to meet the needs of all their external audiences driving up their ability to deliver impactand income.


You will be skilled at developing communications strategies and targeting them to different audiences and equally thrive on leading teams of specialist communicators, media officers, creatives and project managers, mentoring people to get the best from them.


This is a great opportunity for an experience Brand professional who would be passionate about working with communities who are vulnerable to poverty and climate change to support them to change their world.

Your experience will include:


  • Highly seasoned brand, communications, and marketing professional.
Senior experience in a media, marketing, or communications role with an emphasis on at least three of:
brand management, positioning strategies, external affairs, media relations and PR,crisis communications, content marketing, charity marketing, INGOs.

  • Proven experience of leading and rolling out brand development and positioning strategies.
  • Significant experience at bringing together strategic content and audience planning with brand management, media, and campaign strategies.
  • Sophistication in and experience of short and longterm planning of team resources and workloads and managing interdependencies with multiple work streams and business units.
  • Demonstrable experience of inspiring creative solutions and of managing and delivering creative services, working to tight deadlines, and involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in internal stakeholder management at all levels and of leading via influence, ideally with an international and multicultural focus.
  • Experience of procurement and management of a brand and creative agencies and suppliers.
