Role
The role will be to provide:
- Baking and cooking dishes for service in the gardens tearoom
- High standard cooking for private and corporate events
- Occasional family cooking for a household of four
Requirements for the role
- Be passionate about food and able to cook in a wide variety of cuisines and be able to work with fresh produce, fish, meat (including game), sourced locally.
- Ideally cooking qualifications and an indate food hygiene certificate should be held.
- Cheerful, selfmotivated, flexible, family friendly and able to work as part of a team
- Experienced, highly organised, flexible and discreet
- Work will be busy at times and will suit an intelligent energetic person who wants to be part of a developing business
Responsibilities
- The hygiene and maintenance of the kitchens, including the crockery and cutlery
- Menu and food planning, and liaising with other key members of staff including the housekeeper, and the tearoom and visitor centre managers
- Shopping and ordering the food
- A driving license is essential
Package
- The position is live out and accommodation can be provided nearby.
- The position is based on a 5 day week, will include some split shifts and weekends during busy times of the year. The position is available either on a seasonal basis from April to November or full time.
- 28 days annual holiday entitlement.
