Editor, Examinations Department, MRCP(UK) Central Office

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and motivated Editor within the Examinations department to work alongside a small team of editors that produce all the MRCP(UK) written and clinical examinations.


Responsibilities:


  • To create and maintain examination content and material within an online database
  • To create and maintain examination schedules
  • To edit and proofread examination content and material to the MRCP(UK)'s rigorous standards
  • To manage examination questions within an online database, assisting with the implementation of new software and processes
  • To act as a central point of liaison with key stakeholders and provide support to Examining Board and Scenario Editorial Committee members

Experience:


  • Educated to degree standard or equivalent
  • Demonstrates the ability to edit and proofread copy and proofs, following house style and detecting and marking errors to be corrected
  • Demonstrates the ability to rewrite and restructure copy according to purpose, style of publication and audience
  • Demonstrates excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks, meet tight deadlines and produce highquality work under pressure
  • Proven experience of using online databases
  • Adept in IT, including accurate keyboard skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enthusiastic and adaptable to change
