Editor, Examinations Department, MRCP(UK) Central Office

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and motivated Editor within the Examinations department to work alongside a small team of editors that produce all the MRCP(UK) written and clinical examinations.

Responsibilities:

To create and maintain examination content and material within an online database
To create and maintain examination schedules
To edit and proofread examination content and material to the MRCP(UK)'s rigorous standards
To manage examination questions within an online database, assisting with the implementation of new software and processes
To act as a central point of liaison with key stakeholders and provide support to Examining Board and Scenario Editorial Committee members

Experience:

Educated to degree standard or equivalent
Demonstrates the ability to edit and proofread copy and proofs, following house style and detecting and marking errors to be corrected
Demonstrates the ability to rewrite and restructure copy according to purpose, style of publication and audience
Demonstrates excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks, meet tight deadlines and produce highquality work under pressure
Proven experience of using online databases
Adept in IT, including accurate keyboard skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enthusiastic and adaptable to change
