Position Summary


This role sits within our Services department and supports delivery of the Foot Care Service by providing a professional high quality basic nail cutting service for individuals within their own home or when appropriate within other community settings.


Main Responsibilities

  • To be responsible for carrying out basic nail cutting duties in a professional manner in line with the Age Concern Foot Care Training Manual.
  • To plan and organise own workload to ensure effective and efficient caseload management.
  • To carry out routine administrative tasks ensuring that service users records are legible, accurate and kept up to date.
  • Crossrefer service users onto other services within Age Concern as appropriate.
  • To refer/ signpost service users onto other voluntary, independent and statutory agencies as agreed and appropriate.

Duties

  • Achieve the level of computer competency as required for the role.
  • Participate in and contribute to the organisation's activities, events and meetings.
  • Undertake other duties that may be required by the organisation that are consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the role.

Training
The organisation is committed to support continuous professional development (CPD).

There is an expectation that the post holder will complete mandatory and role specific training within the probationary period and maintain a level of competence throughout their employment with us.

Training includes Safeguarding, GDPR and Health and Safety. This list is not exhaustive.


Essential Skills and Attributes

  • This role requires an enhanced disclosure and barring service check.
  • Manual dexterity is a must for this hands on role. Demonstrable experience of recording data in a timely manner.
  • To manage and meet deadlines and maintain high quality of work and attention to detail.
  • Access to a vehicle for work purposes.
  • To demonstrate a commitment to the mission, vision and values of the organisation.
  • To demonstrate professionalism, whilst having a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
