My client, a Top 50 International firm, is recruiting for an Assistant Revenue Manager to join their law firm in Finsbury, London. The firm is happy for 3 days of remote working per week.
The international law firm advises on complex disputes and transactions through local knowledge and an integrated international network. They have a strong sector focus, combining their technical excellence with deep industry knowledge.
The firm has achieved rapid expansion and year-on-year growth owed almost entirely to a focused strategy, strong leadership and the quality of its people.
Key activities/responsibilities
- Assisting with the daytoday management of the global Revenue Team.
- Meeting with Partners and Associates in London to discuss billing related matters, ensuring a consistent approach is taken at all times.
- Ensuring the Revenue Controllers conduct monthly WIP meetings with their respective departments/offices and regularly checking that details are up to date and comprehensive.
- Meeting regularly with management to help reduce WIP and Debtor days.
- Being the first point of contact for the Revenue Controllers, Billers and Admin Assistants
- London and Globally.
- Supervision of the processing of bills for London and certain other international offices. This will include credit notes, write offs and ad hoc queries.
- Producing and issuing reports on nonchargeable files and processing adjustments.
- Ensuring adherence to all statutory and regulatory requirements globally.
- Developing an effective working relationship with Partners and Associates.
- Providing internal reporting information to Partners and external reporting to clients.
- Effective liaison with Management Accounts, Credit Control and Cashiers teams to provide a seamless service from the Revenue team.
- Reviewing files opened by the Compliance team, checking any fee arrangements are correctly in place and identifying any special/panel rates that needs approval/dealing with.
- Training
- Managing/delegating the workload with the team to ensure good productivity.
- Liaising with the Revenue Manager in regard to any areas that are not performing to the necessary standard.
- Conducting appraisals and assisting with recruitment.
- Reviewing third party bills and other compliance issues.
- Quality control of invoices prior to despatch.
- Assisting with system upgrades.
- Other ad hoc tasks as agreed by the Revenue Manager.
