Our client is a successful professional services business, based in Birmingham. They are looking for a Graduate Tax Trainee to join their growing Employment Services team to support some of the advisory work undertaken by the firm.

About the role
This role would suit an enthusiastic individual, looking to take their early steps towards a career in tax advisory.

Reporting to senior members of the team, the Graduate Tax Trainee will support colleagues on various client employment tax activities.

Key aspects of the role include:

Helping the team with client projects;
Attending client meetings in person and virtually to take notes and minutes;
Undertaking tax research for colleagues to support the provision of advice;
Providing support in the completion of statutory employment tax returns, including P11Ds and PSAs;
Providing ad hoc payroll support where needed.

The ideal person

The person will be analytical and methodical, with an organised approach that supports prioritising workloads. They will be a strong communicator, able to work under pressure to a high standard.
