MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To organise the day to day running of the site and to supervise all trades to ensure a high quality of workmanship, safety and progress.
Following all safety procedures in conjunction with the Quality Assurance Plan.
DUTIES:
Leadership
- Provide leadership, guidance and mentoring to members of the project team as appropriate.
- Hold informal 1to1s and formal staff appraisals with your team members as required.
- Effectively manage any project delays.
- Assist in the recruitment and selection process as and when required.
- To ensure dimensional controls are in place from the outset, and are utilised accordingly.
- Complete daily site diary as outlined on BIM 360 Field platform.
- Regular monitoring and liaison with the Project Manager/Planning Manager on the Construction Programme, and development of shortterm programmes as required.
- Responsible for the coordination and control of the project, including staff, labour and subcontractors, from the construction phase through to completion and handover to the Client.
- Liaise with the Labour & Productivity Manager to ensure adequate labour resource is available on site as required, fully complying with the Labour & Productivity Procedure.
- Plan, implement and monitor site logistics.
- Organise and chair subcontractor progress meetings, site safety meetings, coordination meetings, and any other meetings as necessary to ensure the project operates efficiently.
- Ensure all project documentation is completed as outlined within the Project Quality Plan.
- Manage plant and material procurement in line with the programme and budget, paying particular attention to longlead items.
- Control and monitor site waste in accordance with the SmartWaste platform.
- Ensure compliance with Quality Control and Quality Management policies, processes and procedures as prescribed on the Company Management System.
- Ensure compliance with the Health & Safety Management System (HSMS) as prescribed on the Robertson Management System (RMS).
- Effectively communicate with the Design Team to ensure the timely release of design information based upon the IRS.
- Create and maintain good relations with clients, design teams and neighbours as well as any other stakeholders.
- Continually develop knowledge of innovative construction techniques and products to improve the business
- Contribute to the Company's Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.
- Liaise with Statutory Authorities and Local Authorities as required by the project.
- At all times to represent the company in the best possible way, be courteous and professional working to the highest ethical standards.
- Ad hoc duties assigned by your line manager in connection with operational requirements ensuring works are completed within required time frames.
