Location:
Central London


Salary:
£37,000 per annum Circa + car allowance

Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Bid Manager on behalf of one of our clients.

This role is predominantly office based in London, although occasional circumstances may require travel to other offices across the UK.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • To write and compile winning bid responses and proposals which are creative and bespoke to each customer.
  • To work collaboratively with Sales Teams to understand bid timelines and strategy.
  • To support the Sales Teams in achieving ambitious success rate targets for bids and proposals.
  • Working closely with the Bid Co-Ordinator to review and thoroughly understanding tender documents and customer requirements.
  • Hosting bid launch/review meetings with Bid Coordinator and other colleagues across the business where relevant.
  • Writing and compiling bids and proposals according to brief.
  • Creating new content from scratch as well as editing/recreating existing content.
  • Creating bespoke proposal templates for each customer.
  • Working closely with the Sales Teams to understand customer history, expectations, timelines and sales strategy.
  • Proofreading and formatting written content before submitting documents to customers.
  • Conducting online customer research to inform our bids and proposals.
  • Liaising with other departments to obtain specific information to inform bids and proposals.
  • Assisting with all aspects of bid administration as required.
  • Participating in training as and when required to ensure knowledge of products and solutions is always up to date.
  • Must articulate 100% compliance with customer requirements within all bids and proposals.

  • Excellent people and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional in appearance and work ethic.
  • Reliable with a sound knowledge of business basics.
  • Highly motivated to win new business through bids and proposals.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio (experience of working with Adobe InDesign is an advantage).
  • Creative and positive with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in bid and proposal writing.
