Description
GS3 Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Bench Hand joiner for their client based in East Kilbride


Responsibilities:


  • Assemble and fabricate wooden structures according to specifications
  • Measure, cut, and shape wood using hand and power tools
  • Install doors, windows, and other fixtures
  • Build cabinets, shelves, and other furniture pieces
  • Repair or replace damaged wooden components
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as plumbers and electricians, to complete projects
  • Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area

Skills:


  • Carpentry skills: Proficient in carpentry techniques and able to work with various types of wood
  • Plumbing skills: Knowledge of basic plumbing principles and ability to connect fixtures and pipes
  • Electrical skills: Familiarity with electrical systems and ability to install wiring for lighting or appliances
  • Heavy lifting: Capable of lifting heavy materials or equipment as required for the job
  • Roofing skills: Experience in installing or repairing roofs using appropriate materials and techniques
  • Knowledge of hand tools: Proficient in using a variety of hand tools such as saws, drills, chisels, etc.
  • Masonry skills: Basic understanding of masonry work for tasks such as bricklaying or tile installation

Experience:


  • Joinery: 1 year (preferred)
  • Carpentry: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • CSCS (preferred)
  • Driving Licence (preferred)
