Job Title - Credit Control AssistantPurpose of the role:
The principal responsibility of this role is to manage accounts and chase payment for all outstanding invoices that have fallen outside of our agreed payment terms.
The focus of this role is to concentrate on the 120 days debt with the objective of reducing this balance to a minimum.
Key accountabilities:
- Collection of all aged debt
- Distribution of monthly Customer Statements and followup letters
- Carry out credit checks on existing & potential new customers as directed
- Analysis of debtors monthly
- Liaise with other members of staff where necessary, to ensure accounting policies are being adhered to
- Assist with general daytoday tasks on an adhoc basis
Key attributes:
- Previous Credit Control experience essential, ideally within an aggregate supplier or waste management company
- Great attention to detail
- Good IT skills including MS Excel & Sage
- Strong oral and written communication
- High degree of flexibility and able to adapt quickly
- A proactive and energetic personality
- Can do attitude and team player
In addition to the duties which your role normally entails, you may from time to time be required to undertake additional or other duties as are reasonably necessary to meet the needs of the Company's business.
