The Role:


A
new and fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Production Team Leader, reporting to the First Line Manager to join the Nottingham team
.



Key Accountabilities:


  • Maintaining Health and Safety, Food Safety, and Quality Standards
  • Maintain a cohesive working relationship and effectively communicate with the department's key stakeholders
  • Carry out procedures & policies / local performance management systems such as SIC / 6S / Yield and Scrap information
  • Process Optimisation
  • Fault finding & rectification with Engineering / Reaction to Alarms & Breakdowns
  • Completion of KPI reporting systems and escalations
  • Analysis of KPI outputs and actions where required, escalation of issues to relevant support functions as required
  • Ensure the compliance of all Company policies, procedures, processes, and systems applicable to the function.
  • Lead and motivate your team with Training & Development including onthejob induction training, Break management, Assessment of skills gaps, allocating and arranging staffing cover as deemed necessary, including agency
  • People Management, including lowlevel employee relations ( investigations / disciplinary ) and Absence Management
  • HR Systems ( including but not limited to, SAP / My Hovis )
  • Performance Evaluation Review (PER) support and delivery
  • First Line Manager step up cover

  • Managing labor performance
  • Accurate completion of SIC
  • Reduction in lost time/throughput

**Essential:

  • Active and effective People Management
  • IT Literate
  • Good communication
  • Experience in a previous supervisory role
  • Be adaptable, flexible and demonstrate a willingness to accept changes/resolve issues in accordance with operational requirements at short notice
**Desirable:

  • Ideally knowledge of operating the food manufacturing plant and equipment
  • SAP System knowledge
  • The specialist knowledge of Mixing / Plant / Baggers
  • Food Hygiene
  • HACCP
