Your role

  • We are seeking a credit quantitative trader to join our fixed income algorithmic trading team within UBS Global Markets. This is a fast paced and collaborative team specialized in the development and management of bestinclass automated strategies in the fixed income space.
  • The role will be focused on credit etrading for corporate bonds, ETF and portfolio trading with opportunities to work on other asset class within the fixed income space.
  • You will employ statistical analysis to optimize quoting and risk management strategies
  • You will be involved in every aspect of algorithmic trading: designing, back testing, implementing trading strategies and as well tracking performance
You have strong interest in data science, possess strong analytical skills and have a passion for financial markets. You have an advanced scientific degree. You should be experienced in object oriented programming especially Java. Proven experience in similar role is strongly preferred.


Your team

  • The credit and rates electronic and systematic trading team is at the forefront of innovation in automated trading in fixed income and has a large mandate in the bank, covering government bonds, interest rate swaps and corporate bonds around the globe creating automated and semiautomated strategy. We aim at maximizing automation and driving trading revenues. We're an experienced and highly technical team with strong data analysis and software development skills. The team is diverse and global, and the working environment is challenging but also enjoyable. We are passionate about solving technical problems and we strive for excellence.

Your expertise

  • Experience in the credit space.
  • Excellence in statistical modelling and data science
  • Experience in Java or C++ and exposure to eventprocessing domain.
  • Great problemsolving and analytical ability
  • A selfstarter you can work independently
  • Ready for the responsibility of real ownership of project and performance
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to easily understand and explain business, software, and modelling issues
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • A person of integrity, comfortable to challenge and who collaborates naturally
  • Knowledge of fixed income market making from previous work in algorithmic trading context.
  • Experience in electronic fixed income ecosystem: trading venues and protocols
