We are seeking an individual who is ready to lead our Research team and assist to ensure a culture of improvement is embedded throughout our organisation.


Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust is committed to promoting and embedding Research across all Directorates within the Trust, in collaboration with academic, commercial and non-commercial partners.

The Trust undertakes Research and promotes its adoption in practice because these improve clinical outcomes for patients, encourage critical and reflective professional practice and improve the quality, effectiveness and value for money of the services we deliver.

The Head of Research will be responsible for driving the development and delivery of the Trusts Research strategy including promoting and facilitating the delivery of high-quality Research activity across the Trust.

This will include programs of work to maximise the Trusts engagement in Research within our Integrated Care System, the Midlands region and Nationally where opportunities arise, and working in conjunction with the Clinical Research Network West Midlands.


The postholder will maintain oversight of the performance and governance of Trust research activity, ensuring it is in line with relevant legislation and other legal frameworks, Department of Health and Social Care policy and the National research strategy, and reporting as appropriate to the relevant Trust committees.
