HGV Mechanic

Musselburgh

Permanent role

Monday to Friday - with overtime offered

£30,000 - £35,000 per year DOE

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Mechanic to join our client in Musselburgh.

As an HGV Mechanic, you will be qualified and hold relevant qualifications such as welding, and or other certificates to support your skills.

You will organise and schedule the servicing and repair of HGV's and plant machinery.

Main duties of the role:

Liaising and reporting to the workshop manager
General maintenance across the site
Carrying out major and minor repairs on vehicles, machinery and affected components, including engines, brakes, steering etc.
Using a variety of specialist equipment and tools
Liaising with site manager in regards to required repairs and ordering
Liaising with suppliers, sourcing parts and comparing prices
Administrative duties internal defects, daily job sheets, inspections and servicing
Previous experience in a similar role or sector
Ability to work as part of a team
Punctual and reliable
Flexible
Have a full UK driving licence
Good level of English
Attention to detail
Mechanical experience and qualifications
