You:

  • Previous Accounts Assistant experience
  • Previous Purchase Ledger experience
  • Ideally, studying towards an accountancy qualification or keen to do so
  • Good computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office. Good Excel knowledge is essential.

The role:

  • Overseeing the purchase ledger
  • Managing employee expense claims and company credit card expenses.
  • Reconciling cash payments to all bank accounts.
  • Posting cash payments to the ledger
  • Setting up supplier payments on the bank
  • Overseeing petty cash postings and reconciliations.
  • Overseeing the aged debt collection process
  • Assist the Financial Controller with monthend management accounts. This will include, but not be limited to, accruals/prepayments, Fixed Assets, Balance Sheet reconciliations, and journal postings to the ledger.
This is not your average account assistant position. You will need previous experience, however, the salary reflects this.
