Payroll Administrator (Apprentice) - Long Stratton**A Payroll Level 3 apprenticeship is attached to this position

Hybrid working available

£7.00 per hour - 20 to 30 hours per week

We are looking for someone to join their payroll function in their Long Stratton office. This role is perfect for someone who is looking to begin their payroll career with an apprenticeship.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Support the team with a variety of payroll related administrative tasks
  • Assist in the preparation of client payrolls
  • Liaise with HMRC and other professionals regarding client affairs
  • Organising your own workload, particularly in peak periods, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Communicating with the team around you to ensure work flows smoothly
  • Demonstrating the ability to work independently
  • Adheres to the firm's risk management policies and procedures, particularly those relating to data protection
  • Communicate workload with manager and/or team
  • Undertakes other duties to meet the demands of the business
  • Learning all aspects of the complex payroll function
  • Inhouse training will be provided on all aspects of working in a busy team, from managing your workload, communication skills and the complexities of payroll processing
  • You will receive full support from your line manager and guidance on working independently

Desired Skills

  • A-C Grade in Maths and English Language at GCSE or equivalent
  • Keen interest in developing a career in payroll.
  • Possibly some experience in payroll (experience is not required, as this is a trainee role)

  • Excellent organisational skills that allow you to multitask
