About Our Client:

My client is a well established Not for Profit, Higher Education organisation based in Greater Manchester. They provide high quality learning facilities and resources in a inspiring learning environment.


The key responsibilities of a Finance Officer will include, but may not be limited to;

  • Calculation of deferrals and accruals
  • Preparing and inputting journals
  • Account reconciliations
  • Analysis of variances to budget
  • Annual financial reporting
- forecast year end accounts

  • Monitor income and expenditure
  • Face to face meetings with key budget personnel.

The Successful Applicant:


  • Not for Profit and Charities background
  • Higher Education desirable
  • Relevant experience within a financial setting
  • Ability to commute to Manchester daily
  • High levels of literacy and numeracy skills
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Be able to work independently or as part as a team
  • Ability to deal with complex issues related to financial transactions.
