Description

The Paediatric Tier 3 complications in excess weight (CEW) service uses a holistic approach to treating conditions related to obesity in children and young people.

Young people will receive 12 to 18 months of intensive treatment from the MDT with the aim to improving health complications linked to their weight.

Referrals to CEW for young people aged years old are based on the degree of obesity and the presence of comorbidities.


This post will support the Nottinghamshire out-patient clinics based at NUH and will also provide virtual support to spoke sites including Derby, Lincoln and Kings Mill.

There are also opportunities to work within the community (home and school visits) to promote inclusivity for our CEW patients, encouraging physical activity and reducing sedentary behaviours.

Working days will be Tuesday afternoon and full days Thursday and Friday


You will also support planned paediatric in-patient weekend rosters and be an integral member of our established children's Physio team based in the Nottingham Children's Hospital at the QMC campus of NUH.
