    The Job in a Nutshell:


    We are essentially looking for a middle/back office operations person who also has experience in producing, processing and checking the correctness of Capital Gains Tax statements and Consolidated Tax Certificates relating to income tax. Our ideal candidate will have some experience individend reconciliationandcorporate action adjustments.

    What you'll be doing:

    • Review client tax reports (capital gains and income tax) and identify any potential issues.
    • Liaise with custodians and other third parties to ensure investment instruments (shares and funds) receive the correct tax treatment.
    • Implement new systems to obtain and analyse data within capital gains and income tax reports.
    • Review taxes applied to different securities and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
    • Review the country of registration and settlement location of the securities included in our asset allocation.
    • Respond to client tax queries and support internal teams in delivering excellent client service.
    • Set up client profiles and liaise with custodians as required.
    • Work closely with the business to embed new processes and procedures to maintain client data efficiently.
    • Collaborate with Investment Managers and other teams to ensure that our tax reports and system data is accurate, complete, and up to date.
    • Assist clients' accountants by providing the necessary data for tax submissions.
    • Support the team transferring securities to and from third party providers.
    • Work closely with our compliance team to manage our clients W8 Ben forms.

    Key Skills and Knowledge:

    • Strong analytical and numerical skills; this is a technical role requiring advanced Excel capabilities.
    • Excellent knowledge of HMRC rules related to capital gains and income tax.
    • Ability to multitask, prioritise a high volume of tasks, and handle sensitive and confidential information.
    • Proven ability to build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, peers, and colleagues.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to perform well under pressure.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Teams.
    • Knowledge of Nexus.
    • Knowledge of CGiX and/or Tiara.

    Language Fluency:

    • Professional fluency in both spoken and written English.
