Salary:
£13.29 per hour

Job Opportunity:
As a small engine operative, you may be working on both new and remanufactured products for both British and international customers.
You will be building engines from bare castings and individual components into a finished product down a production flow line spread across 6 stages.
You will have the opportunity to expand your experience and knowledge of the product line with both in-house and formal training.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- The inspection and vet of various engine components
- The use of gauges and measuring equipment.
- Prepare subassemblies for main build.
- Perform full engine main build for new and reman products once training has been completed.
- Use a desktop computer to set up ECM programmes within an engine.
- When required support hot test to rectify issues within the test cell.
- Display behaviour and conduct fitting with our Values in Action.
- Compliance with 5S programme and other business improvement initiatives.

Skills and Experience:
- Modern apprenticeship, NVQ or equivalent experience.
- Experience of automotive work or mechanical engineering.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- The ability to follow and comprehend verbal, specific and detailed procedures, and work instructions.
- A knowledge of Caterpillar Production Systems.
- Attention to detail to meet quality standards.
