    Job Role:

    Taylor Woodrow seeks a Commercial Manager to lead commercial activities across infrastructure upgrade schemes in the south west region.

    Duties:

    • Initiate and lead tasks and processes, taking responsibility and being accountable for work and roles of others within broad parameters.
    • Manage a regional commercial team.
    • Provide commercial support to tendering process.
    • Participate in project commercial start up procedures.
    • Purchasing materials and off site services in an efficient manner with capable organisations in accordance with Taylor Woodrow procurement policy.
    • Prepare work package contents sheets and ensure project team contribute and complete relevant sections.
    • Carry out gap analysis between packages to ensure full subcontract procurement takes place.
    • Prepare inclusive invitations to tender and complete full tender evaluations in accordance with Taylor Woodrow procurement process.
    • Work with supply chain to promote and measure continuous improvement in cost, quality and learning of all parties.
    • Maximise cash flow through timely preparation of valuations, submission of invoices and receipt of payment.
    • Manage final accounts, including variations, claims and disputes.
    • Develop client negotiation strategy.
    • Review plant and equipment schedules for efficiency.
    • Produce accurate and timely CVR reports and forecasts and contribute to setting financial targets.
    • Identify and manage project risks and opportunities.
    • Minimise risks and realise opportunities using risk and opportunity registers.
    • Manage change control and recover client 'change' costs.

    Person Specification:

    • Degree or Higher National in quantity surveying or equivalent.
    • Previous experience managing commercial activities across multiple infrastructure projects.
    • Chartered or working towards chartership is advantageous.
