We are currently recruiting Adhoc role as a Corporate Security Officer to join our team. As a security Officer you will be trained and required to work at our clients buildings.

Adhoc guards will need to be flexible and punctual.

They will need to have availability to fit the role of Adhoc, being able to cover shifts at short notice and at a range of different sites.


We are looking for officers to:

  • Contribute as a team member to ensure a positive customer experience
  • Ensure safety of all customers and staff
  • Liaise with clients, customers and colleagues
  • Respond to incidents
  • Screening a person's ability to enter the building/venue
  • Ensure the safe running of the venue
  • Reliable, Responsible and Punctual
  • Physically fit to complete patrols internally and externally and able to stand/walk during shift
  • To always portray a friendly, professional and courteous demeanour, using open and appropriate body language.
  • Be confident you are able to undertake 100% of all specific duties

Roles and Responsibilities may include but not limited to;
1) Customer service is the key, please make sure you are polite and greet
tenants and guests with a warm welcome.
2) Please always wear your security badge.
3) To keep a record in the DOB of all movement and activity at the development throughout
your shift and to log visitors and contractors in the Workplace Portal, in the loading
bay and reception.
4) Visitors and contractors need to be logged in and out of the Workplace portal.
5) To be the eyes and ears of The Portmarnock Group and to report to the building manager any matters of interest.
6) Reception should be always manned - either by security or receptionist.
7) Lunch and breaks are paid so only go when you can be covered by another member of TPG staff. If you are required to cut your break short, please do so and assist the team.
8) To ensure that all onsite activities and instructions are carried out.
9) To report any issues, problems or outstanding projects/activities to the building manager.
10) Ensure the building and where you are stationed is always kept in a clean, tidy and
presentable state.
11) Security of premises - check all doors are locked, only authorised people are allowed in the building.
12) Access control.
13) Internal and external patrols, regular external and internal patrols using the C247 tags.
14) Monitoring of CCTV need to know how to play back footage and have a good understanding of where the cameras are.
15) Liaise with all visitors, residents and contractors.
16) Dealing with problems and emergencies.
17) Answering the telephone using "Good morning, Good afternoon or Good evening, your name at the (workplace name) speaking, followed by how may I help you?"
20) Cleaning of common parts especially where you are stationed.
21) Keep a written record of all on goings at the development in detail on the handover notes.
22) Issuing keys to residents, cleaners and contractors. When issuing keys and key cards, make sure this is logged and recorded any keys not handed back must be escalated to building
manager.
23) Management of parking systems and regulations.
24) Management of post and delivery systems - all deliveries go to the loading bay and need to be recorded on workplace portal and taken up to the floor promptly.
25) All Royal Mail post to go front desk.
26) Actively seek to find maintenance issues with the development and report to building
manager.
29) Ensure that the development is always compliant with Health and fire safety legislation.
30) General care of the property and surrounding areas.
31) Work as a team.
32) Rough sleepers all members of security need to sign the rough sleepers policy.
