Overview

Due to the ever increasing popularity of Kitty Angels we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Sitter (cats, chickens, rabbits - no dogs) to provide exceptional care for pets in their own homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal welfare, ensuring each pet receives the attention, exercise, and love they need while their owners are away. This role requires a reliable individual who can manage various responsibilities related to pet care and customer service.

Our goal is to deliver a safe, caring and reliable service for customers pets in their own homes within a supportive and friendly team environment.

Duties

• Provide daily care for pets, including feeding, walking, and administering medication as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for the pets, including cleaning litter boxes and pet bedding.
• Engage with pets through playtime and exercise to promote their physical and mental well-being.
• Monitor the health and behaviour of pets, reporting any concerns to the owners promptly.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and any relevant updates on completion of visit.
• Handle heavy lifting when necessary, such as moving pet supplies.

Stipulations

• High level of flexibility. We are available for visits 365 days a year, and most of our business is seasonally based.
• Excellent customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with pet owners.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the needs of the animals in your care.
• A responsible attitude towards punctuality and reliability in fulfilling scheduled visits. A DBS check will be required.
• Driving license and use of own car. Please do not apply if you do not have either of these.
• Must be able to cover the following areas; Moseley, Kings Heath, Stirchley, Maypole, Hall Green, Yardley Wood, Shirley, Hollywood, Wythall – so living locally to these areas is desirable.
• Strong care for animals, demonstrating a genuine love for pets of all types
