Role Overview:


Wellbeing Personal Assistant (No hands on personal care)
We are seeking a reliable and positive individual who is available to work predominantly weekends. Shifts almost always start at 1130 AM and end at 0900 AM the following day (total 21.5 hours).


You will be working with the client in his home, where there is a separate bedroom for support staff to rest at night.

You will be paid at £12.00 per hour during resting sleep in hours (9 hours) and rarely are woken.


We are currently offering 4 contracted shifts a month, with the opportunity of extra cover and bank shifts as needed.

Rotas are scheduled 4-6 weeks in advance, with the team leader working together to try and make sure these fit around the rest of the teams commitments.


Lunch and dinner is provided when on shift and you will eat with the client and often prepare meals together.

The client is very fond of cooking and eating good quality food, so a shared interest in this would be beneficial.

Paid social outings to concerts, gigs and restaurants are paid for by the client.


About Me:


I am a active man in his 30's who sustained a severe traumatic brain injury when he was a teenager. I am based in Shirehampton, near Bristol.

I have made excellent progress with my independence and recovery. I do not not require any support with moving and handling nor personal care (washing and dressing). I do not pose any challenging behaviours and can talk and express my needs.

I will often do tasks around the house independently as well as going out into the community on the bus to do shopping ect by myself.

I do works part-time.


The Support Required:
Your role will be to support daily activities such as shopping, cooking, organisation and accessing the community. The client enjoys attending music events, swimming and going for bike rides.


About the Pay: 8am - 11pm = £12.00ph 11pm -8am = £9.50ph


About the Training:

Food hygiene/ First aid/ Head injury/ Epilepsy/ Medication/ - Full client specific training will be given, including ongoing professional development and support.


About You:

Experience in a care role, social care role or with a person with head injuries is welcomed but not essential as full training and support is given.

It is of the utmost importance that anyone who applies is enthusiastic, reliable and respectful in nature.


It is essential for this role that you hold a full UK driving license, as the client has an automatic vehicle which support staff use when working.

It is also desirable that you are a confident cyclist, as the client likes to go for bike rides - and has a team bike for support staff to use.


  • An enhanced disclosure is required (expense to be met by employer).
  • Post exempt under The Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9 Part 1There is a genuine occupational requirement to recruit male support workers.
  • Drivers essential / full clean driving licence required
