Cover Supervisor for Key Stage 3, 4 & 5

Key Responsibilities:

  • To deliver preplanned lessons across Key Stage 3, 4 & 5 in the absence of the regular teacher
  • To maintain a positive and productive learning environment, ensuring that students are engaged and focused on their work
  • To manage the behaviour of students effectively, following the school's behaviour management policy
  • To ensure that all students are aware of the lesson objectives and work to be completed during the lesson
  • To provide feedback to the regular teacher on the progress and behaviour of students during the lesson

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience working in a school or educational setting, preferably as a Cover Supervisor
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff
  • Strong behaviour management skills, with the ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively
  • A passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of young people
  • A relevant qualification, such as a degree or teaching assistant qualification, is desirable but not essential

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Temporary contract, Fixed term contract, Temp to perm, Graduate

Contract length: 6 months

Part-time hours: 30 per week


Salary:
£80.00-£120.00 per day
