PGM Carpentry Contractors are currently recruiting for a Commercial Manager. This is an exciting, newly created role due to growth. The Commercial Manager will oversee the Commercial department, consisting of Estimating & Surveying. This is a role to trulymake your own, streamline processes and build great client relationships.

Established in 2000 we have grown to be a preferred leading Carpentry Contractor, turning over £15 million, with key Clients being Bellway, Taylor Wimpey, Barratts, Redrow and Countryside to name few.

We regularly work over 45 live sites at a time, acrossEssex, London & Suffolk.

Our teams have grown year on year; we are proud PGM can offer great progression and regularly promote from within.

Duties include:

Manage the tender list
Management of Commercial department
Maintain and build strong client relationships
Progress reports
Analyse orders and contracts once these have been awarded
Negotiation of costs, internally with the Construction Team and externally with clients
Keeping tender processes compliant with legislation changes
Prepare tenders in line with client requirements
Coach junior Commercial staff and grow team
Liasing with Contracts Managers and track cost progress of each site
Continual review of market costs
Networking and reaching out to potential new clients
Review prices with the department prior to agreement with Contracts Managers
Attending meetings with clients up to and beyond job award
Maintaining variation accounts

This role would suit a motivated, organised individual, who has a passion for building relationships and the new-build residential construction sector.

This is a role to develop within the company and play an important part in the future growth of PGM.
