A vacancy for a Temporary 2-year contract, full time reviewing officer is now available within the Assets Department, Crime Standards and Justice.

There are three Special Property hubs, Salisbury, Melksham and Swindon. However, we are looking to recruit 1 role specific to Melksham and 1 role specific to Swindon.

There will be a requirement to move between all three areas during the two years if priorities change within the project and for training purposes.

The Legacy reviewing officers are overall responsible for the management of all legacy special property, Legacy CSI exhibits in accordance with Legislation and Force policy.

They also provide appropriate and expert advice to police officers, police staff and to members of the public, on matters concerning special property, CSI exhibits as and when required.

This particular role and unit is a very busy and demanding one and will be supported by a supervisor. The post holder will make well informed decisions regarding the retention/disposal of property.
To succeed in this role its essential the post holder will possess good communications skills, both verbal and written. Good organisational skills and the ability to demonstrate a high degree of accuracy in respect of work undertaken.

An ability to problem solve along with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team and with the way in which the unit operates and the constant demands needs to have the ability to adapt to changes in systems and processes.
