An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 HCA to join our friendly enthusiastic and committed team. The multidisciplinary team covers the Warrington and Halton area providing Integrated Sexual Health and Contraception services under "axess". The post on offer is a permanent position.


Applicants must be able to travel to various locations between Warrington and Halton (Runcorn and Widnes) and be flexible to work a range of early and evening shifts.

Position will be based at Runcorn Sexual Health Service in Halton.


We offer a structured induction plan and on-going support using our whole team consisting of an existing HCA team, assistant practitioners, band 6, 7 and 8a specialist nurses, specialist doctors and consultants.

We are committed to developing the successful applicant providing support on-going training.


The successful applicant will be required to deliver patient care demonstrating professionalism, working within competency and excellent communication skills in all aspects of their work.

Flexibility to cover various shifts and locations is essential for the role.

The role is varied and includes venepuncture, assisting with procedures, obtaining base line observations, computer skills, ordering of stock,

stock replenishment, conducting STI screening for asymptomatic patients referring onward when required, results management and administrative duties.

Once skilled and competent the potholder will take an autonomous role in managing asymptomatic clinics alongside the team, testing for STIs
