A full-time research assistant is required for a 12-month fixed-term position for a project that aim to generate HAV Virus-Like Particles in mammalian and plant systems and to assess their potential as a novel and affordable vaccine.

The post is based in a productive laboratory, and will be demanding and challenging, requiring a willing, adaptable and well-organised appointee.

The post would suit an individual with a first degree in the biological sciences and a MSc/MRes in an area related to the research, as would knowledge and experience of laboratory techniques including molecular techniques (_e.g._ PCR, cloning) and culture of mammalian cell lines.

The appointee will also provide core support for these multidisciplinary activities.
