  • This is a varied and interesting role within the International Students' Compliance Team working with students and academic/professional staff services across the University.
  • The purpose of the role is to ensure the University complies with all UKVI rules and regulations and to manage and implement the Federal Aid Loans scheme. Specialist training will be given so advisers are able to provide information, advice and guidance on compliance and Federal Aid to staff and students as part of the International Students' Compliance Team.
  • We are a supportive team and full training will be given. The team currently has a hybrid working arrangement with a mixture of on campus and home working.

You will be part of the team:

- ensuring our UKVI compliance requirements are met so the University can sponsor students to study here. This includes record keeping, processes and preparation for audits,
- managing the US Federal Loan process for eligible students including responding to queries and meeting audit requirements,
- trained to be an authority regarding the rules and regulations governing international students' right to study in the UK,
- providing specialist advice and guidance to students and staff relating to immigration and compliance and Federal Aid,
- working on processes to monitor student engagement.


You should have:

- great attention to detail skills and be confident working with data,
- the ability to understand and work within complex regulations and procedures,
- the ability to work within a team and with other colleagues,
- experience working with financial data or monitoring students' attendance is welcomed.
