Contract Scotland has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Data Analyst to join our client, based at their Bathgate office.

This is a fantastic temporary position that may become permanent for the successful person.
You will be office based Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm.

You will be analysing data across various projects and you must have experience of analysing both qualitative and quantitative data.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop programme and portfolio level dashboards and status reporting as per requirements
  • Support accurate and effective financial and budget auditing, monitoring and reporting at a programme level.
  • Collate and analyse programme and project level data and metrics to inform programme delivery, meet key milestones, mitigate risks and issues, and assess delivery of outputs and benefits.
  • Responsibility for design and production of performance reports, ensuring key metrics as defined by the programme manager are captured
  • Responsibility for preparation and presentation of accurate and detailed data and information to support programme governance and decision making.
  • Responsibility for obtaining data to support any data gaps, as identified by the project team, working with Data Analyst teams to obtain the required information.
  • Extract, explore and mine data from sources systems
  • Data cleansing and validation
  • Prepare and model complex datasets for analysis
  • Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
You must work to expert level in Microsoft Excel and will have experience and knowledge of BI tools. You will be a skilled and experienced data analyst with the knowledge required to deliver in this role.
