Finance Assistant Role Available
Are you seeking your next position within a busy finance department?


We are currently supporting a large public sector organisation in their search for a Finance Assistant within the costing and capital.


This is a contract role that will initially last until the end of May 2023 with potential extension beyond it, it will be based in the West Yorkshire area on a hybrid basis with home working included.


Duties:


  • Responsible for preparing data for input to key systems and subsequent input where directed
  • Responsible for the production of regular reports from key systems
  • Responsible for supporting the daytoday management of key systems
  • Responsible for reconciliation of key systems to ensure the integrity of data and outputs is maintained
  • Assist in the production of information to support decision making
  • Inputs and manipulates financial data into computer databases and spreadsheets where speed and accuracy necessary
  • Input and manipulate financial data in line with national standards
  • To support the development, maintenance and integrity of costing systems
  • To support regular updates to the costing model to reflect changes in service provision and to ensure the costing model is accurate
  • To assist in reviewing the quality of data provided or received into the costing system
  • To support the collection of nonfinancial data required that is not already collected via the Information Team from departments across the organisation that will enable costs to be apportioned appropriately

Required experience:


  • NVQ Level 3/Relevant Maths, ICT and English qualification
  • Competent user of MS Office (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Accurate and rapid keyboard data input
  • Able to deal effectively with frequent interruptions
  • Able to plan and manage own workload to meet internal and external deadlines
  • Excellent organisational skills
