About us:


The Dementia Research Centre (DRC) is based in the Department of Neurodegenerative Disease and is recognised as one of foremost international centres for the study of dementia and other neurodegenerative disease.

Our work focuses on identifying and understanding the disease processes that cause dementia, the factors that influence these disease processes, and how best to support people with dementia and their families.

We collaborate with other centres working on neurodegeneration nationally and internationally.


About the role:


We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Assistant whose primary role will be to help co-ordinate digital and PET sub-studies within the Genetic FTD Initiative (GENFI) team.

You will also help with the management, storage, and analysis of data collected for these studies.


The post is available from August 2023 and funded by a grant from the Bluefield Project for one year in the first instance.

About you:


You will have an honours degree (min 2:1) in Neuroscience or related discipline and experience with digital and PET biomarkers and testing them in patients.

Experience with database management, IT proficiency at advanced user level, and strong problem-solving skills are also required for this role.

You will also have good interpersonal skills with an ability to work co-operatively in a multidisciplinary setting.


What we offer:

Starting salary offered in the range of £35,702 - £37,548 per annum inclusive of London Allowance.
