Administrator:


Location - HCA Laboratories, Shropshire, 20 Capper St, London WC1E 6JA

Hours - Permanent/Full Time. Shifts vary from 8 am to 6 pm. Occasional Saturday shift required

Salary - £23,000 - £27,000 + Benefits (pension, health cover, flexible benefits and excellent career development)

About the role
We have a brilliant opportunity for an Administrator to join our HCA Laboratories.

Within this role, you will provide secretarial and administrative expertise and support to the Cellular Pathology Department in liaison with the clinical, managerial and laboratory staff to ensure smooth running of the administrative and medical records service at Cellular Pathology Office.


Duties

  • To undertake administrative and reception duties on the Cellular Pathology Department
  • Provide a firstclass medical secretarial service using correct medical terminology, including transcription of samples clinical and macroscopic details
  • Managing samples and documentation for second opinions/external MDT/Clinical & Research
  • Organize material for patient's MDTs and close collaboration with MDTs coordinators on preparation of MDTs
  • Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of the employees' knowledge, skill and ability

Skills & Experience:


  • Previous admin experience within healthcare, preferably Histology
  • Familiar with Medical terminology
  • Able to work with Consultants & Physicians
  • Experience within Hospital/Laboratory Hospital systems
  • Computer literate
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately
