Summary
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Senior Phlebotomist to join our Phlebotomy team at Onewelbeck. If you are a committed, motivated, reliable, and highly experienced phlebotomist who enjoys working in a busy, diverse department this may be the job for you

Main Duties/Key Tasks:

Manage the rotas to ensure that there is adequate staff cover at all times.
Deal with more complex enquiries from patients and receive complaints in accordance with the company's complaints procedure.
Ensure an effective and efficient administrative service to both patients and visitors

To liaise with consultants, secretaries, radiographers and patient administration staff regarding patient information and appointment scheduling

Ensure practice policies are followed and accurate records are kept, with particular reference to: appointments, messages, visits, post, patient registration, filing systems
Liaise with Pathology Coordinator concerning staffing and organisation of work
Have a working knowledge of all software and hardware, dealing with IT problems on site as needed in the absence of the Pathology Coordinator
Continually assess and evaluate systems, recommending changes and improvements to the Pathology Coordinator as appropriate
Overseeing the team performance and regular 1:1's

Clinical Responsibilities

To be fully competent in all aspects of venepuncture as according to our policy
To have full working knowledge of all tests provided currently and their associated collection tube/methods.
To adhere to the phlebotomy standard operating procedures and phlebotomy duties as laid out in Phlebotomy Operational Guidelines

Profile
Education and experience

Experience in a private healthcare environment (essential)
Higher education (A Levels) (desirable)
Experience in a highquality customer facing role, 5star hospitality experience ideal
Experience utilising MS Office (Word, PowerPoint & Excel)
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
Experience handling confidential and sensitive information (essential)
