Finance Assistant


(Remote/Hybrid)

What will you be doing?
As a you will report to the Financial Controller.

Day to day activities will mostly consist of:

  • Sales Accounting and Credit Control
  • Invoicing and processing all transactions through SAGE
  • Bank account reconciliation
  • Monthend management account preparation & presentation to FC
  • Assist with system integration of legacy finance system
  • Yearend preparation and assisting the external financial accountant
  • P&L and balance sheet review and reconciliation
  • Reporting and analysis to be undertaken when required
  • Assisting FC with project requests
  • VAT returns for the group
  • Payroll preparation for FC review
  • Managing and assisting team with general processing enquiries
  • Cashflow reporting


The position is to assist our Financial Controller in all aspects of their role and to provide resilience in the Finance Department.

We are looking for someone who has accounting experience and is familiar with Sage 50cloud Accounts.

Work Location:
Offering hybrid/Remote working (6 days per month at head office in Hereford, Herefordshire remaining days remote). Working general office hours, Monday to Friday.

Experience:


  • Studying or qualified in AAT/ CIMA/ACCA or equivalent
  • Experience of working in a finance role
  • Have strong finance systems experience
  • Good communication skills
  • High level of numeracy
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to work on own initiative.

Job Type:
Part-time


Salary:
£14.00 per hour


Expected hours:
No less than 20 per week
