Clerical Officer


MPA are excited to some fantastic opportunities in the admin and clerical sector as they continue working alongside their large public sector client in the Belfast area to recruit for Clerical Officer.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented, and has excellent communication skills.


Location - Knockbracken, Belfast


Hours of Work hrs (Mon-Fri)


Salary - £10.42


Contract - Ongoing


What the role entails:


  • Participating in the maintenance of a Child/School Health computerised records system.
  • Maintaining Child / School Health Records.
  • Assisting the School Nurse with Clerical duties in schools as required.
  • Providing statistical information as required.
  • Dealing with telephone and other enquiries.
  • The maintenance of filing systems.
  • Deputising for colleagues as necessary

Essential Criteria:


  • 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above (to include English Language) and 1 year's clerical experience Or NVQ Level 2 in Administration and 1 year's clerical experience 2 years' clerical experience.
  • Ability to plan and organise work effectively in order to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to use initiative.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, including excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, flexible and dependable.
  • Current driving licence and access to a car. This criterion will be waived in the case of an applicant whose disability prohibits driving but is able to organise suitable alternative arrangements.

  • A Basic Access NI Check is required at a cost of £18.
